Sculpture commemorates over 100 years of the Nob Hill neighborhood

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The City celebrated the 100th anniversary of one of Albuquerque’s most iconic neighborhoods.

The first subdivision of the Nob Hill Neighborhood was established in 1916.

The neighborhood turned 102 this year, but the City still wanted to recognize the momentous occasion a couple years later.

The City’s Public Art Program dedicated the “Nob Hill Centennial” sculpture on Campus and Wellesley.

“For me, it’s about the ups and downs of Nob Hill, good times and bad. Our vision of what’s going forward and our fights to preserve our community and our historical community,” says City Councilor Pat Davis.

The sculpture was created by artist John Davis.
