Drug dealer fatally beaten after being lured to home for massive cocaine purchase, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. —

Investigators say a missing person mystery that began six months ago is now a murder case, and four people are in jail as a result.

Orlando police put out a missing person alert for Jack Crane, 22, when he disappeared in May.

Brandon Whitehead, Andres Camilo, Robayo Cardenas and Jonathan Pope are facing first-degree murder charges in Crane’s death. They have all been arrested in the past month.

Officials with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement said that Crane was a drug dealer who would fly to Colorado, California and Washington with large amounts of cash and then a few days later he would get deliveries of marijuana in Central Florida.

Police said that in May, just before he disappeared, Crane had $80,000 in cash and was trying to buy a large amount of cocaine.

Instead of making the deal, investigators said he was set up and beaten death at an Airbnb in Polk County. His body was not found.
