EUGENE, Ore. – Seven people are facing burglary and conspiracy to commit burglary charges after Eugene Police served a search warrant at an Airbnb along the 2400 block of Skyline Boulevard in Eugene.
The resident said, the home is known for it’s beautiful views overlooking Eugene, long-time residents and Airbnbs. He said he did not notice anything suspicious about the house and the guests.
“At some point in the last five days, thought there was no one there,” he said. “it’s obviously a good way for criminals to pull off crimes. And Airbnbs are a pretty convenient way of getting a place to stay where they’re not going to be observed that much. And our neighborhood is you know almost rural even though we’re right here in town. And so there’s not a sense that people would be walking up and stuff like that. No, it just makes me a little more hypervigilant”
