Murder suspect in custody after stand-off in Greenville

GREENVILLE, Pitt County — A stand-off with law enforcement in Pitt County ended with the arrest of a Florida man wanted by the FBI for the murder of a child.
NewsChannel 12 was on the scene in Greenville Monday afternoon where it all happened.
It was a stand-off that lasted for hours on Buckingham Drive in Greenville where the suspect, Claude Edsel Brooks Jr., wanted for the first-degree murder of an 8-month-old child in 2019, had barricaded himself into a home.
