York City Police investigating late Tuesday shooting death as a homicide

York City Police are investigating the shooting death of a man that occurred late Tuesday night as a homicide.
Officers were dispatched around 11:50 p.m. to a call of shots fired in the area of West Poplar Street and South Belvidere Avenue, where they found a 34-year-man who was unresponsive and appeared to have injuries from a gunshot.
Medical aid was given to the victim, police said, but the man died at the scene.
The man’s name has not been released, although his next of kin has been notified of his death.
